Save electricity during operation

  • Converting lighting to efficient LEDs with a daylight-dependent circuit

Optimize heating, cooling and ventilation systems

  • Use of window contacts, which switch off air conditioning units when opening windows, for example
  • Improving the area/volume ratio: Tall rooms increase building volume and increase energy consumption. Cooling or heating sails can be used here, for example, which direct the heat or cold to where it is needed at the moment.

Minimize heat losses

If ventilation systems are used in the office space, it should be checked whether heat recovery is also available. This makes it possible to transfer around 80-85% of the energy from the exhaust air back to the supply air and thus significantly reduce ventilation heat losses. Opening windows has an influence on heat efficiency, especially when using ventilation systems. A simple locking mechanism can already counteract this.

In order to save energy in companies, a number of larger and smaller construction measures, technologies and user behavior are therefore decisive. An individual consideration of the circumstances and an associated analysis by various specialist planners is therefore essential.
