With a contemporary, energy-efficient shell, Sparkasse Iserlohn, as a reflection of different construction periods, becomes a clearly structured, modern solitaire on the market square.
The main building is clearly designed as a modernly interpreted perforated façade with an alternating interplay of different, floor-to-ceiling openings. At Theodor-Heuss-Ring, the building is led up to street level and thus creates a clear address here too with a long-range effect. The edges of the building are exposed and thus create a clearly accentuated presence in the cityscape. The previously undefined structure formulation is abolished and transformed into a down-to-earth urban building block thanks to the opaque elements of the perforated façade made of light natural stone.
The new bright, friendly main entrance leads directly to the spacious, light-filled customer hall. In its dimensions, this new marketplace is much more compact and at the same time more functional than the former customer hall. The new concept creates an innovative marketplace in the interior.
